Logistics & distribution

Warehouses and lanes that hold their numbers: accuracy, service and cost moved together.

Services

What this covers.

Each service below can run as advice, delivery leadership or an operating role. What we never do is hand over a report at the door.

01

Logistics strategy and cost-to-serve

A cost-to-serve model built per customer and per channel. Pricing and service terms are then set against what each customer costs to serve, and the same figures inform network decisions.

02

Distribution network design

How many warehouses you need, where they sit and which customers each one serves, down to the last mile. Every option is modelled against your service targets and total landed cost, and the network you inherited is tested the same way as the alternatives.

03

Warehouse design, slotting and WMS deployment

We deploy the layout, slotting, processes and WMS with the floor team, so that accuracy and productivity hold after go-live.

04

Transportation and freight procurement

Freight is tendered on actual shipment volumes once modes, routes and carriers have been reset, so the savings survive the first rate review.

05

3PL tendering and governance

The first question is whether to outsource at all. If the answer is yes, we run the tender through to a signed contract and then set up the governance that keeps a 3PL performing after the honeymoon.

06

Cold chain and controlled distribution

Temperature-controlled lanes are designed with qualified carriers and a set procedure for handling excursions, so the shipment arrives usable and its record stands up.

· Realised result: 99% inventory accuracy held and picking errors down 75% in a US warehouse we rebuilt with the floor team
